Meridian (gold) point.

[Origin]

Shang is the sound of gold, and the point belongs to the meridian point among the five transport points of foot greater yin spleen meridian (SP). The meridian point of the yin meridian belongs to gold, so it is called "Shang". The point is located in front and below the medial malleolus, opposite to the position of Qiuxu (GB40), hence its name.
