Rugen (ST18) acupoint

• Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "Among those with a six-inch sunken breast";
• Xunjing Kaoxue Bian: "With Zhongting (CV16) flat";
• Yixue Zhengzhuan: "The woman has a sinking in the fleshy area under her breasts";
• Shoushi Baoyuan BOOK >: "Put a finger under the straight breast, and let it sink between the bones. For women, bend the nipple to touch it. The nipple is at the same point as the acupuncture point."

[Anatomy]

• Muscles: The lower part of the pectoralis major muscle, and the deep internal and external muscles of the fifth intercostal space.
• Nerve: The lateral branch of the fifth intercostal nerve is medial to the skin, and the deep layer is the intercostal nerve trunk.
• Vessels: intercostal arteries, superficial chest wall veins.

[Manipulation]

Subcutaneous insertion or upward oblique insertion 0.5 to 0.8 inches. Direct moxibustion is prohibited, moxibustion with moxa stick is prohibited for 5 to 10 minutes.

[Efficacy]

Regulate qi, reduce adverse reactions, and clear breasts.

• Classical: cough shortness of breath, breast pain, chest pain, dysphagia, inability to eat, swelling, vomiting, severe illness in children, abdominal distension and fullness, warm malaria in children, childhood addiction, Nausea, dry vomiting, abdominal pain, bloating, restlessness, rushing up to the chest and chest, attacking the sides, or lumps rising up, or pulling the waist and back, upper qi, saliva, pus and blood, cholera, choking, disease caused by cold, Placenta no less, hiccup.
• Modern: Insufficient milk secretion after childbirth, mastitis, breast lump (hyperplasia of mammary gland).
