[Origin]

Cross, rendezvous; letter, refers to foot greater yin spleen meridian (SP), because the spleen belongs to earth, "the virtue of earth is trust" (Leijing Tuyi ‧ five elements general theory). foot lesser yin kidney meridian (KI) meridian qi thus intersects with foot greater yin spleen meridian (SP) Sanyinjiao (SP6), hence the name.
