Shao, small; Shang, one of the five notes (Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zheng, Yu), belongs to the same metal as the lungs. The acupuncture point belongs to hand great yin lung meridian (LU), located at the end of the limb, and the meridian qi is small, hence the name.

[Anatomy]
- Nerve: The anastomotic branch of the first dorsal digital nerve branched from the superficial branch of the radial nerve and the lateral cutaneous nerve of the forearm, the terminal network of the proper digital nerve on the palmar side of the median nerve, and the superficial tactile corpuscles are abundant.
- Blood vessels: Refers to the arterial and venous network formed by the proper palmar artery and the radial vein.
