Located on the lateral side of the groin, 3.5 cun from the midpoint of the upper border of the pubic symphysis (Qugu (CV2)), lateral to the pulsating point of external iliac artery, at the outer one-third junction of the line connecting anterior superior iliac spine and pubic symphysis.
  • Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "5 cun above Daheng (SP15), below Fushe (SP13), at the pulsating artery near the ends of pubic bone in the crease";
  • Leijing Tuyi: "3.5 cun lateral to the midline of the abdomen";
  • Zhenjiu. Fengyuan: "0.7 cun below Fushe (SP13)... 3.5 cun lateral to the midline," i.e., 3.5 cun lateral to Qugu (CV2).
  • Zhenfang Liuji: "Directly above, between the two breasts...4 cun lateral to conception vessel on both sides";
  • Zhenjiu Zisheng Jing: "4.5 cun lateral to the midline of the abdomen".
There are discrepancies among various texts regarding the distance from the anterior midline. Currently, the measurement of 3.5 cun as stated in Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing is adopted.

  • Nerve: femoral nerve.
  • Vessels: the medial side is external iliac artery and vein.
