"Chong" (衝), road hub. The point is close to femoral artery, where qi and blood are abundant, hence the name. Also called "Qijie" (qi pathway), which carries a similar meaning.

It's located slightly above the inguinal region, 5 cun below the center of the umbilicus (Qugu (CV2)) and 2 cun lateral to the midline. It is located 2 cun lateral to the midpoint of the upper border of pubic symphysis, at the pulsation of femoral artery.
