[Origin]

[Anatomy]

  • Muscle: Second interosseous phalanx.
  • Nerve: Medial cutaneous nerve of the dorsum of the foot.
  • Vessel: dorsal pedis venous network.

[Manipulation]

perpendicular insertion or upward oblique insertion 0.5 to 1 inch. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 minutes, moxibustion with moxa stick 5 to 15 minutes.

[Efficacy]

Moving water, benefiting Qi.

  • Facial carbuncle: Xiangu (ST43), Lieque (LU7).
  • Louding bowels and pain: Xiangu (ST43), Wenliu, Lougu (SP7), Fuliu (KI7), Yanggang (BL48).
  • Swollen face: Xiangu (ST43), Shangxing (GV23), Xinhui (GV22), Qianding (GV21) , Gongsun (SP4).
  • Postpartum good things: Xiangu (ST43), Qimen (LR14).
