This acupoint is located below the acromion and treats upper limb paralysis. It has the function of lifting the scapula, hence the name shoulder lift.

The needle passes through the skin and subcutaneous tissue and reaches the deep surface of the deltoid muscle. The superficial layer is covered with the supraclavicular nerve; the deep layer is distributed with the anterior and posterior circumflex humeral arteries and veins of the muscular branches of the axillary nerve.
