[Manipulation]
perpendicular insertion 0.2-0.3 inches; transverse insertion 0.3-0.5 inches inward and upward along the root of the nose; or transverse insertion along the skin toward Sibai (ST2). Direct moxibustion is prohibited.

- Classical: unfavorable epistaxis, polyps in the nose, stuffy nose, excessive runny nose, no smell, itchy and swollen face, hot and red eyes, crooked mouth and eyes, worm accumulation and abdominal pain.
- Modern: sinusitis, rhinitis, rosacea, facial paralysis, hemifacial spasm, trigeminal neuralgia, constipation, biliary ascariasis, dysmenorrheal.
