[Origin]

The cave is located on the outside of the Yinshi (ST33) point and is mainly used to treat wind diseases of the lower limbs, hence its name. The acupuncture point can be placed upright or with the hand hanging down, so it is also called "hanging hand".

Perpendicular insertion 1 to 2 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.

[Efficacy]

dispelling wind is wet and sharp on the legs and feet.

  • Classical: migratory impediment pain, hemiplegia, athlete's foot, soreness in the waist and legs, contracture pain in both knees, numbness in the shins, weakness in the feet and knees, bedwetting, and itching all over the body.
  • Modern: sciatica, lateral femoral cutaneous neuralgia, lower limb paralysis, urticaria measles.
