"Shang" (商), one of the five notes (Gong, Shang, Jiao, Zhi, Yu), belongs to Metal. The point is located on the outer side of the Shaoshang (LU11) point on hand taiyin lung meridian and is considered "Yang" (陽).

At radial side of the fingertip, 1 fen away from the corner of nail.
- Lingshu-Benshu: "At the end of the second fingertip";
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "On the inner side of the thumb and index finger, at a distance from the nail resembling the width of a chive leaf."
- Zhenjiu Jicheng: "Aligning with the head of the first transverse crease"; that is, the depression located 1 fen behind and beside the radial corner of the index fingernail.
