[Origin]

Yanglao (SI6), retreat. The acupuncture point is hidden in the bone seams, and you have to change your hands to find the acupoint, hence the name.

On the ulnar side of the back of the forearm, in the radial depression proximal to the ulnar head. Bend the elbow and supinate the forearm, with the palm of the hand facing the chest, in the radial gap of the ulnar capitellum on the side of the forearm extension.

[Anatomy]

  • Muscle: between the tendon of the extensor carpi ulnaris and the tendon of the extensor digiti minimi proper.
  • Nerve: The anastomotic branch of the dorsal cutaneous nerve of the forearm and the dorsal hand branch of the ulnar nerve.
  • Vessel: The terminal branch of the dorsal interosseous artery of the forearm, the dorsal carpal venous network.

[Manipulation]

Perpendicular insertion or oblique insertion 0.5~1 inch in the direction of Neiguan (PC6). Moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.

[Efficacy]

Relaxing muscles and improving vision.

  • Classical: Shoulder and arm pain, blurred vision, unable to turn sideways, muscular spasm, redness and swelling outside the elbow, unable to move hands up and down.
  • Modern: shoulder and arm pain, Laozhen, hiccup.
