[Origin]
Valley, valley depression. The dorsum of the wrist belongs to "Yang", and the point is located in the depression on the ulnar side of the dorsum of the wrist, hence its name.

Yanggu (SI5) acupoint

On the ulnar side of the wrist, in the depression between the ulnar styloid process and the triquetrum. When the wrist is flexed, it is at the ulnar end of the middle horizontal stripe of the wrist.
- Lingshu‧Benshu: "The one who sinks under the sharp bones is also in the middle";
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "In the outer wrist of the hand ”;
- Xunjing Kaoxue Bian: “Besides the sharp bones, the big muscles are beneath”;
- Zhenjiu Jicheng: “Go to Wangu (SI4) One inch and two points, slightly behind the ankle bone."
[Anatomy]
- Muscle: On the dorsal side is the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon.
- Nerve: The dorsal hand branch of the ulnar nerve branches off from the dorsal carpal branch.
- Vessel: basilic vein.
[Manipulation]
Perpendicular insertion 3 to 5 minutes. moxa cone moxibustion 1 to 3 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.

Clear away heat and relax muscles.
- Classical: Rebing Inability to sweat, chest hypochondriac pain, neck swelling, wrist pain, Hanre, tinnitus, deafness, dizzy head pain, shoulder and arm pain Pain, scabies, epilepsy, pharyngitis in children, sore throat, strong tongue in children unable to suck milk, toothache in upper and lower teeth, self-biting lips, coldness on the outside of the arms, and hemorrhoidal pain.

- Acute pain, redness and swelling of eyes: Yanggu (SI5), Taichong (LR3), Kunlun (BL60).
- Upper tooth pain: Yanggu (SI5), Zhengying (GB17).
- Lower tooth pain: Yanggu (SI5), Yemen (TE2), Shangyang (LI1), Erjian (LI2) ,Sidu (TE9).
- Swollen jaw and silent mouth: Yanggu (SI5), Xiaxi (GB43).
