This product is the root of the perennial herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family, Aucklandia Root (Aucklandia lappa Decne.), and common vladimiria root (Vladimiria souliei (Franch.) Ling). Aucklandia Root produced in Yunnan and Guangxi is called Yunnan Aucklandia Root, while that produced in India and Myanmar is called Guang Aucklandia Root. Common vladimiria root is mainly produced in Sichuan, Tibet, and other regions. It is harvested in autumn and winter, then dried. It can be used raw or roasted.
