"Di" (地) refers to feet, in contrast to "Tian" (天, heaven) at Tianwuhui (天五會, Renying (ST9)) on neck. The point is located among the five foot points of foot shaoyang gallbladder meridian (Zuqiaoyin (GB44), Xiaxi (GB43), Diwuhui (GB42), Zulinqi (GB41), Qiuxu (GB40)), corresponding to the upper and lower regions.

On the dorsum of foot, between fourth and fifth metatarsal bones, posterior to metatarsophalangeal joint, in the depression on medial side of extensor digiti minimi tendon. Located 0.5 cun below Zulinqi (GB41).

  • Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "In the depression posterior to the joint of little toe and second toe";
  • Tongren Shuxue Zhenjiu Tujing: "One cun away from Xiaxi (GB43)".

  • Muscles: medial of fifth extensor digitorum longus tendon , extensor digitorum brevis, fourth dorsal interosseous muscle, and third plantar interosseous muscle.
  • Nerve: fourth dorsal metatarsal nerve.
  • Vessels: dorsal venous network of foot under skin, and fourth dorsal metatarsal artery and vein.

Perpendicular insertion 0.5~1 cun. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 to 5 times, moxibustion with moxa stick for 10 to 15 minutes.

  • Classical: internal injury with bloody sputum, redness and pain in eyes, swollen armpits, breast swelling, tinnitus, lumbago, redness and swelling on instep, lack of luster on outer foot.
  • Modern: mastitis (early stage), lumbar puncture anesthesia point.
