"Guang" (光), light; "ming" (明), bright. It's luo-connecting point of gallbladder meridian. Liver opens orifice into eyes, and foot shaoyang gallbladder meridian connects upward to eyes, making it effective for treating eye disorders, hence the name.

On the lateral aspect of lower leg, 5 cun above the tip of external malleolus, in the depression anterior to fibula, between extensor digitorum longus and peroneus brevis muscles.

- Muscles: between extensor digitorum longus and peroneus brevis, tibialis posterior muscle.
- Nerve: superficial peroneal nerve.
- Vessels: branches of anterior tibial artery and vein.

Perpendicular insertion 1~1.5 cun. Moxibustion with moxa cone 3 to 5 times, moxibustion with moxa stick for 10 to 15 minutes.
