- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "On the upper edge of temple, at the curved corner";
- Xunjing Kaoxue Bian: "Note: 'Curved corner' is consistent in various texts, except one version writes 'curved angle' (see Suwen-Qifu Lun Wang Bing's note). The text states 'reaching the angle,' so the curved corner should refer to the curved area of temple where hairline protrudes forward."
