  1. Used for abscesses and sores. Mung Bean is sweet and cold, clearing heat and removing toxin, to reduce abscesses. It can be used alone by decocting and taking frequently, or ground raw and soaked in cold water to filter the juice for consumption. For external use, it can be mixed with Rhubarb Rhizoma as powder, added with Mentha leaves, and honey for application.
  2. Used for summer heat and thirst. Mung Bean is sweet and cold, clearing heat and relieving summer heat, eliminating irritability and quenching thirst, promoting urination. Therefore, Mung Bean soup is often consumed cold in summer to treat symptoms such as summer heat, thirst, and dark urine.
  3. Used for drug and food poisoning. Mung Bean is sweet and cold, good at resolving heat toxin, making it an excellent remedy for poisoning by Aconite Lateral Root, Croton Fruit, arsenic, and other pungent heat toxin agents, as well as food poisoning.
