This formula was originally designed for stomach abscess and intestinal abscess, but its application has now expanded. It can be used as a base for modification in cases of carbuncles, swellings, sores, and boils that are characterized by heat and blood stasis. In the formula, Immature Orange Fruit has a bitter taste and slightly cold nature, specializing in regulating qi, breaking stagnation, and eliminating vexing heat; Peony Root promotes blood circulation, cools blood, and relieves pain; Platycodon Root opens and lifts lung qi and expels pus. The combination of these three herbs breaks qi stagnation, clears heat, harmonizes the nutrient level, expels pus, and disperses abscesses. Its nature is gentle, making it suitable for chronic patients.

1. Severe heat: add Patrinia, snake tongue grass, Dandelion.
2. Excessive bleeding: add black Sanguisorba, black Schizonepeta, and arborvitae.
3. Blood stasis in the intestines: add Rhubarb and Peony Peel Decoction.
4. Severe swelling without pus formation: add Lonicera, Forsythia.
5. Pus formation and ulceration: add Astragalus Root, Chinese Angelica. Or combine with Toli Disinfection Drink.
6. Sore and ulcer swelling and pain: combine with Immortal Life-Saving Decoction.
