This formula is composed of Middle-Regulating Pill plus Aconite Lateral Root, which enhances the function of warming the middle and dispelling cold compared to Middle-Regulating Pill. In the formula, Dried Ginger is pungent and hot, warming the middle and supporting yang to dispel cold; Ginseng is sweet, warming and tonifying the middle, strengthening the spleen and stomach, and tonifying qi. These two herbs are combined to address both the root and the branch. White Atractylodes Rhizome dries dampness and invigorates the spleen; roasted Liquorice Root is sweet and warm, combining with Dried Ginger to transform pungent and sweet into yang, boosting spleen yang. Aconite Lateral Root is pungent and hot, restoring yang qi and dispersing pudendal coldness.
