bubble_chart Formula Principles
This formula is derived from the Six Gentlemen Decoction with modifications. The Six Gentlemen Decoction primarily tonifies qi, invigorates the spleen, and dries dampness. The addition of Astragalus Root enhances the replenishing of qi and consolidates the exterior, making it difficult for external pathogens to invade. Notopterygium, Pubescent Angelica, Saposhnikovia Root, and Bupleurum expel external pathogens while also uplifting the clear yang qi. When yang is generated, all things flourish. Coptis Rhizome clears heat and drains dampness, while Peony Root uses its sour and sweet properties to astringe yin, preventing excessive damage to yin from the warm and pungent herbs.
