Since the condition involves blood accumulation rather than fluid retention, urination remains normal. The heat in the blood aspect causes fever at night, and the disturbance of the mind by the heat results in delirious speech and dysphoria, sometimes even mania. The formula primarily uses Peach Kernel and Rhubarb Rhizoma. Peach Kernel not only breaks blood stasis and removes stasis but also moistens the intestines to relieve constipation. Rhubarb Rhizoma promotes bowel movements and removes stasis. When combined, these two herbs enhance the ability to break and expel blood stasis. Cinnamon Twig is added to promote blood circulation, aiding Peach Kernel in breaking and expelling blood stasis. Mirabilite softens hardness and dissipates masses, assisting Rhubarb Rhizoma in promoting bowel movements and clearing heat. Roasted Liquorice Root serves a dual purpose: protecting the stomach and moderating the harshness of the other herbs, acting as an adjuvant. The entire formula combines Peach Kernel, Cinnamon Twig, and Stomach-Regulating Purgative Decoction to expel accumulated stasis, remove pathogenic heat, and cure all symptoms. It is a mild formula for clearing heat and expelling stasis.

1. Lower abdominal cramping and hard pain.
