Fu Yun-ke, courtesy name Renyu, was born in Jiangning Prefecture, Jiangsu Province in the Ming Dynasty. He has been practicing medicine for generations, so he has inherited his family knowledge since childhood, and is especially good at ophthalmology. Having practiced medicine for more than thirty years, he has a deep understanding of medical principles. And his life is indifferent to lust, he has simple clothes and light food, and he is leisurely and self-sufficient. With eighteen years of clinical experience, he also visited famous doctors, purchased books on forbidden prescriptions, cut out the redundant and simplified them, and compiled six volumes of Shenshi Yaohan (an "Encyclopedia of Ophthalmology", see "Chinese Medical Books") . At that time, his son Fu Guodong and his son-in-law Zhang Wenkai both worked at Nanjing Taiyiyuan, editing and supplementing for him. The book was completed in Jiashen, the 17th year of Chongzhen in the Qing Dynasty (1644). Taiyiyuan asked Lu Bin to write a preface and print it. The first and second volumes of this book are A general discussion of the relationship between the eyes and zang-fu organ physiology, as well as the various causes of eye diseases; the second section is 108 syndromes, divided into treatment methods and prescriptions. Each of the four volumes is preceded by medical records, illustrations, songs, etc., to examine evidence and examine causes, identify shapes and identify symptoms, and open the book clearly. It is an unprecedented masterpiece among ophthalmology books. (See "Test of Chinese Medical Books")
