Lingshu-Benshu: "Jingqu, in wrist pulse, moves without rest is the nature of it." The point belongs to the hand taiyin meridian, located where the artery resides, where the blood and qi are abundant, resembling a water channel.

Jingqu (LU8) acupoints

On the palm side of the forearm, on the radial side, 1 cun above the wrist crease, in the depression between the radial styloid process and the radial artery.
- Lingshu-Benshu: "It is located at wrist pulse, where it moves without remaining still";
- Yixue Rumen : "Close guan, the middle of wrist pulse".

- Muscles: the flexor carpi radialis on the ulnar side, and the pronator quadratus on the deep side.
- Nerve: lateral cutaneous nerve of forearm, superficial branch of radial nerve.
- Vessels: Under the membrane of the ulnar tendon are the radial artery and vein.

Avoid direct puncturing of blood vessels. Insert the needle vertically 0.3 to 0.5 cun. Do not injure the radial artery and vein. Do not use direct moxibustion to avoid damaging the radial artery and vein.

- Classical: cough, asthma, shortness of breath, fever without sweating, edema, a feeling of fullness in the chest, frequent yawning, chest and back pain, heart pain with nausea, throat obstruction, wrist pain, heat in the palms, pain in the soles of the feet, and returning of the six pulses.
- Modern: throat swelling and pain, absence of pulse.
