[Origin]

Jie refers to the bone solution (骱); Xi refers to the depression. The point is in the depression between the two anterior tendons of the ankle joint.

The central depression of the transverse crease at the junction of the dorsum of the foot and the calf, between the extensor pollicis longus tendon and the extensor digitorum longus tendon.

[Anatomy]

[Manipulation]

Puncture shallowly 0.3~0.5 inches. Direct moxibustion is prohibited, moxibustion with moxa stick is prohibited for 5 to 10 minutes.

[Efficacy]

Regulate the spleen, resolving dampness, clear stomach heat.

  • Classical: headache, vertigo, eye disease, head and face edema, abdominal distension and fullness, constipation, foot and knee pain or wilting impediment, epilepsy, cholera, muscle cramp, Rebing inability to sweat , good pee, stomach heat, deirious speech, malaria, diarrhea, palpitations, heavy thighs and knees, sinew impediment, red face, sore mouth, biting tongue, swollen feet and shins, qi counterflow.
  • Modern: nephritis, tympanites, enteritis, foot drop, ankle and surrounding soft tissue disease, thrombotic vessel inflammation obliterans, thrombophlebitis.

[Recipe]

  • Knee femoral thrombotic phlebitis, hypsinic acid, muscle cramp: Jiexi (ST41), Tiaokou (ST38), Qiuxu (GB40), Taibai (SP3).
  • Epilepsy: Jiexi (ST41), Yangqi.
  • wind dizziness headache vomiting irritating: Jiexi (ST41), Chengguang (BL6).
  • Toe swelling and rot: Jiexi (ST41), Bafeng (EX-LE10), Yongquan (KI1).
  • Nephritis: Jiexi (ST41), Shenshu (BL23), Fuliu (KI7), Yinlingquan (SP9).
  • Ankle pain: Jiexi (ST41), Shangqiu (SP5), Qiuxu (GB40), Kunlun (BL60) , Taixi (KI3).
