large intestine alarm point.
[Origin]
Lizheng Anmo Yaoshu in the Qing Dynasty: "The human body has a navel, just like the sky has Beichen, so it is called Tianshu (ST25)." The point is close to the navel, hence the name. Because it is located between the upper and lower abdomen, it purgates half of the body. Suwen‧Zhizhenyao Da Lun: "Above the body half...the weather is controlled; below the body half...the earth energy is controlled.... Half, the so-called Tianshu (ST25)." Leijing Zhang Jing-yue Note: "Pivot, cardinal. Living in the rising and falling of yin-yang is Tianshu (ST25)." Xunjing Kaoxue Bian: "Tianshu (ST25) is where heaven and earth meet. It can be seen that it distinguishes between clear and turbid." Therefore, it plays the role of the lower jiao qi movement in transportation. Also known as Changxi and Valley Gate (Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing), it is named after the intersection of meat (rectus abdominis) and the gateway of water valley (fluid retention (food)).
