bubble_chart Etymology "Taiyi" (太乙 or 太一) originally means the primordial or the very beginning. In ancient times, it was believed that the deity Taiyi resided at the North Star. As recorded in the "Shiji-Tianguan Shu": "Among the stars of the central palace, the brightest one is where Taiyi permanently resides." The point is located in the middle-upper abdomen, near Tianshu (ST25) (named after the first star of the Big Dipper) point, hence the name.
