[Anatomy]
- Muscles: Upper edge of frontalis muscle, in the membrane of the galea tendon.
- Nerves: auriculotemporal nerve branch, maxillary nerve zygomatic nerve zygomaticotemporal branch, facial nerve temporal branch.
- Vessels: superficial temporal artery, frontal branch of vein.
[Manipulation]
Subcutaneous insertion 0.5 to 1 inch backward and upward or sideways and downward.
[Efficacy]
dispelling wind, venting fire, relieving pain, improving vision.
- Classical: Hanre headache, eye pain and tears, shortness of breath, irritability, vomiting, sweating, difficulty speaking, eyelid, wind and tears, and unclear vision.
- Modern: forehead pain, migraine, schizophrenia, dysfunctional Zigong (EX-CA1) hemorrhage, alopecia areata.
