[Origin]
An ancient star measuring instrument, later used to refer to the fourth star in the Big Dipper, opposite the Ziwei Palace. It lives on top of Zigong (CV19), and its function is lung qi, hence the name.

[Anatomy]
- Muscles: Superficial muscles have a thin membrane and almost no fat.
- Nerve: Anterior branch of the supraclavicular nerve.
- Blood vessels: anterior perforators of arteries and veins within the thoracic cage (breast).
[Manipulation]
subcutaneous insertion 0.3~0.5 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 15 to 20 minutes.
[Efficacy]
ventilating lung, disinhibiting benifiting the pharynx.
- Classical: asthma, cough, chest fullness and pain, water slurry, pharyngitis and pharyngeal swelling.
- Modern: Bronchitis, esophageal spasm, cardia spasm, plum-stone qi (globus hystericus).

- There is accumulation in the stomach: Xuanji (CV21), Sanli.
- panting: Xuanji (CV21), Qihai (CV6).
- Esophageal spasm: Tiantu (CV22), Xuanji (CV21), Neiguan (PC6).
