bubble_chart Etymology

"Yutang" (玉堂) means jade hall, referring to the noble residence of heart-mind. In ancient times, the main hall of a residence, often located on the central axis of a building complex, was called "tang" (堂) and was typically occupied by elders. This acupoint corresponds internally to heart and is located above Zhongting (CV16), hence its name. Song Yu's Feng Fu: "Wandering in the central courtyard, heading north to the jade hall."
