【Origin】

The depression under the nose looks like Shuigou (GV26), and the acupoint is in it, hence the name. Shuigou (GV26) resembles a human form, Release Name‧Shape: "Under the nose, it is called a standing person. When standing on the nose, it is narrow and long, like a standing person." It lives in a cave, so it is also called "Renzhong". . Also explained, human refers to the human part, which resides between the heaven (upper) part and the earth (lower) part. The nose governs the weather (breathing), the mouth governs the earth (fluid retention (eating)), and the point is in the human part between the mouth and nose. Explanation of Laozi: "The nose is the gate of heaven, the mouth is the household of earth, and Renzhong between heaven and earth is like this."

【Location】

The upper lip of the face is at the 1/3 turning point on the midline of the Renzhong groove.
