"Zu" (足), foot; "qiao" (竅), orifice . The point is located at the end of toe, corresponding to Touqiaoyin (GB11) on head, hence the name. To distinguish it from the homonymous point on head (Touqiaoyin), Zhenjiu Zisheng Jing added "Zu" (足, foot) to its name.
