[Origin]
Hanging on both sides of the body, it is located close to the liver and gallbladder, just like Riyue (GB24) (the sun is yang, referring to the gallbladder; the moon is yin, referring to the liver). Riyue (GB24) is all bright, also known as "divine light".

The flank ribs, directly below the nipple, in the depression of the seventh intercostal space, 4 inches from the midline of the abdomen.
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "One inch and five points under Qimen (LR14)";
- Suwen‧Qifu Lun Wang Bing's note: "At the end of the third rib, horizontally and vertically, two inches and five inches from the bone next to each body cun, and straight up to the two breasts." That is, the three intercostal spaces below the breasts, which is the seventh intercostal space, from the midline of the abdomen 3.5 inches. However, because the nipple is often located on the fifth rib, Riyue (GB24) moves downward to the lower edge of the eighth rib, when the lower edge of the costal arch meets the lateral edge of the rectus abdominis.

[Anatomy]
- Muscles: internal and external intercostal muscles, the lower edge of the ribs is the external oblique tendon membrane, internal oblique muscle, transversus abdominis (right Riyue (GB24), the depth is approximately the same as Dannang (EX-LE6) bottom location).
- Nerve: seventh or eighth intercostal nerve.
- Vessels: intercostal arteries and veins.
[Manipulation]
oblique insertion 0.3~0.5 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.
[Efficacy]
Reduces adverse effects and promotes gallbladder.
- Classical: vomiting juice, acid regurgitation, rising of qi overflowing and causing pain in the mouth, good breathing, good compassion, heat in the lower abdomen, excessive saliva, incorrect speech, and inability to close the limbs.
- Modern: jaundice, Dannang (EX-LE6) inflammation, cholelithiasis, hepatitis, intercostal neuralgia, hiccup.

- Hot in lower abdomen, desire to walk, excessive breath: Riyue (GB24), Daheng (SP15).
- Bile deficiency, rising of qi overflowing and causing pain in the mouth: Riyue (GB24), Danshu (BL19).
