The head is three inches lateral to the midline of the cranium, five inches in front of the hairline and behind. When the outer 1/3 vertex of the line connecting
Shenting (GV24) and
Touwei (ST8).
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "In Qucha (BL4), one inch and five points on each side, in hairline" ;

[Anatomy]
- Muscle: frontalis.
- Nerve: lateral branch of frontal nerve.
- Vessels: frontal branches of superficial temporal artery and vein, lateral branches of frontal artery and vein.
[Manipulation]
Subcutaneous insertion upwards 0.5 to 1 inch. No moxibustion.
[Efficacy]
Peace of mind, dispelling wind, relaxing muscles.
- Classical: headache, dizziness, neck stiffness, chest and ribs that cannot be tilted together, epilepsy, fright epilepsy in children, various winds, apoplexy and unconsciousness.
- Modern: neurasthenia, insomnia.

- Epilepsy: Benshen (GB13), Shenzhu (GV12).
- Pediatric fright epilepsy: Benshen (GB13), Qianding (GV21), Xinhui (GV22), Tianzhu (BL10) .
- The chest and sides are drawn together and cannot be tilted: Benshen (GB13), Luxi (TE19).
