Xi-cleft point.

bubble_chart Etymology

"Hui" (會), convergence or gathering; "zong" (宗), aggregation. The point is located 0.5 cun lateral to Zhigou (TE6), where the qi of the meridian twists and converges. It is the xi-cleft point of hand shaoyang triple energizer meridian.

On the extensor aspect of forearm, 3 cun proximal to dorsal wrist crease, in the depression on radial side of ulna, 0.5 cun ulnar to Zhigou (TE6).

  • Muscles: radial side, extensor digiti minimi; ulnar side, extensor carpi ulnaris; deeper, extensor indicis muscle.
  • Nerve: posterior cutaneous nerve of forearm; deeper, posterior interosseous nerve of forearm.
  • Vessels: trunks of posterior interosseous artery and vein.
