[Origin]

The inside of the popliteal fossa, the depression between the semitendinosus tendon and the semimembranous muscle tendon when the knee is bent.
- Lingshu‧Benshu: "After fibula and radius, under the big tendons and above the small tendons, press it with your hands and bend your knees to get it."
- Xunjing Kaoxue Bian: "There are two slits on the knees, the upper one is Ququan (LR8) and the lower one is Yingu (KI10)."
[Anatomy]
- Muscles: the semitendinosus tendon on the peroneal side and the semimembranous tendon on the tibial side; the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle is the deep layer.
- Nerve: cutaneous branch of the obturator nerve.
- Vessels: medial arteries and veins above the knee.
[Manipulation]
Perpendicular insertion 0.5~1.5 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.
[Efficacy]
Manage the lower jiao to eliminate fullness.
- Classical: Women's fistula disease, blood, leukorrhea, abdominal distension and fullness, inability to breathe, yellow urine, drowning, impotence, acute lower abdomen and internal inflammation of the feet, wet and itchy scrotum, soreness in the knees and popliteals.
- Modern: gastric spasm, bladder inflammation, vaginal inflammation.
