On the lateral part of the foot, in the depression between the red and white flesh behind this section of the little toe (5th metatarsus toe joint).
- Lingshu‧Benshu: "The one who falls after this section is in the middle",
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing added "Outside of the little finger of the foot",
- Suwen‧Qixue Lun Wang Bing added "Red White Flesh";
- Zhenjiu Jicheng: "In Jinggu (BL64 ) front two inches".
[Anatomy]
- Muscles: Above is the abductor digiti minimi muscle.
- Nerve: Common nerve of metatarsus of fourth toe, lateral cutaneous nerve of dorsum of foot.
- Vessel: common artery and vein on the lateral side of the fourth toe metatarsus.
[Manipulation]
Perpendicular insertion 0.3~0.5 inches. moxa cone moxibustion 3 ~ 5 strong, moxibustion with moxa stick 10 ~ 15 minutes.
[Efficacy]
dispelling wind, heat, sharpening the neck and back.
- Classical: headache, strong neck, body heat pain, waist and knee pain, patellar pain, sole of foot fever, epilepsy, diarrhea, dysentery, back gangrene Yongju, boil and sore , deafness, dizziness, yellow eyes and tears.
- Modern: Sciatica.
