[Origin]
The gallbladder and fu organs are yang and are the key link of yang qi. The point is next to Danshu (BL19), hence the name.

Yanggang (BL48) acupoint

3 inches below the spinous process of the 10th thoracic vertebra on the back (
Zhongshu (GV7)), inside and
Danshu (BL19) Even.
- Zhenjiu Jiayi Jing: "In the area where there is a three-inch depression on both sides of the tenth vertebra".
[Anatomy]
- Muscles: latissimus dorsi, iliocostalis (in the chest just where the diaphragmatic costal sinus and the lower edge of the lungs meet).
- Nerves: Lateral branches of the posterior branches of the ninth and tenth thoracic nerves.
- Vessel: dorsal branches of the tenth intercostal artery and vein.
[Manipulation]
oblique insertion 0.5~0.8 inches. It should not be too deep to avoid accidentally entering the chest and injuring the lungs. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 7 weeks, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.
[Efficacy]
clearing heat and draining dampness, soothing the liver and fortifying the spleen, choleretic and anti-jaundice
- Classical: body heat, yellow eyes, fluid retention, inability to eat, thunder in the abdomen, irregular bowel movements, yellow and red urine, diarrhea , dysentery, abdominal distension and fullness, red eyes, consumptive thirst.
- Modern: jaundice, hepatitis.
