One of the Baliao points.

[Origin]

Zhong, middle, liao, also known as 窭, bone hole. The point is the third posterior sacral foramen, ranking among the upper, second, middle and lower Baliao points, hence its name.

Sacrum, Ciliao (BL32), about 8 minutes below and inside, suitable for the depression of the third posterior sacral foramen; outside and Zhonglushu (BL29) Level with each other, about 6 minutes from the midline of the back. .

[Anatomy]

  • Muscle: Origin of gluteus maximus.
  • Nerve: posterior branch of the third sacral nerve.
  • Vessels: posterior branches of lateral sacral artery and vein.

[Manipulation]

Directly opposite the posterior sacral foramen perpendicular insertion or slightly upward oblique insertion 1 to 2 inches. It should not be too deep to avoid passing through the sacral hole and injuring the rectum and bladder. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 7 weeks, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.

[Efficacy]

Manage the lower jiao and strengthen the waist and knees.

  • Classical: Lumbago, cold in the middle, abdominal distension and fullness, difficulty in defecation, diarrhea, dysentery, menstrual irregularities, red leucorrhea.
  • Modern: prostatitis, pelvic inflammation.
