[Origin]

Back, rear; stream, valley, Suwen‧Qixue Lun: "The small gathering of meat is the stream." The cave-dwelling little finger is named after the red and white flesh border behind this section.

On the ulnar side of the palm, at the red and white flesh margin behind this section of the little finger (5th metacarpophalangeal joint). When making a fist, the palm is far from the ulnar end.

  • Lingshu‧Benshu: "On the outside of the hand, after this section."
  • Rumen Shiqin ‧淦怦: "The grip lines on the little finger are all gone. "
  • Yixue Rumen: "At the tip of the horizontal stripe on the outside of the little finger, make a fist and take it."
  • Leijing Tuyi: "The tip of the fistis sunken."

[Anatomy]

  • Muscles: abductor digiti minimi, oppositorum digiti minimi tendon, flexor digiti minimi brevis.
  • Nerve: the dorsal and palmar branches of the ulnar nerve, and the proper palmar nerve of the fingers.
  • Vessel: Ulnar artery of the little finger.

[Manipulation]

Make a slight fist and make a perpendicular insertion of 0.5 to 1 cun toward Hegu (LI4) on the palm side. moxa cone moxibustion 3 to 5 times, moxa stick warm moxibustion for 10 to 15 minutes.

[Efficacy]

resuscitation: refreshing, clearing away heat and relaxing muscles, clearing governor vessel (GV), and relieving sweating.

  • Classical: Cold Hanre, red eye pain, eye nebula, canthus rot, tinnitus deafness, nosebleeds, swollen neck, heart pain, malaria, scabies, urination Redness, mania, headache, spasm of hands and feet, regurgitation, inability to sweat, epilepsy, leg pain, night sweating, jaundice, apoplexy, waist and leg pain, numbness of hands and feet.
