This product is the dried whole herb of Spikemoss, a plant from the Selaginellaceae family. It commonly grows on mountain rocks. It is distributed in Liaoning, Hebei, Shaanxi, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, Taiwan, and Guangdong. It is also found in India, the Philippines, and Japan. The herbaceous plant has a rosette form and can be harvested year-round. The entire plant is uprooted, washed, the fibrous roots removed, and then dried.
