It is mostly distributed in the cold regions of the Northern Hemisphere, predominantly growing in alpine screes or under shrubbery at altitudes of approximately 3500 to 5000 meters. There are 73 species on the mainland, with Tibet accounting for 32 species and 2 varieties. Over two hundred varieties of Rose-Boot have been confirmed, among which more than twenty are commonly used in traditional Asian medicine, such as the small-flowered Rose-Boot, large-flowered Rose-Boot, rose Rose-Boot, and sacred Rose-Boot. bubble_chart Modern Pharmacology

  1. Anti-hypoxia and anti-fatigue: It can rapidly enhance the binding capacity of hemoglobin to oxygen, increase blood oxygen saturation, reduce the body's oxygen consumption, enhance exercise endurance, and alleviate post-exercise fatigue. [Experiment] Male mice (weighing around 20g) were selected and trained, then injected intraperitoneally with 0.4 mg/g body weight, compared with a saline control group. The climbing pole time was recorded, showing significant differences. Observations in the swimming test with pillbugs indicated that the medicated group performed better than the control group.
  2. Antibacterial effect: Rose-Boot contains a significant amount of scopolamine and kaempferol, which have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It also has a high tannin content, which is astringent and protective on mucous membranes, reducing excessive secretions and stopping excessive bleeding. It is effective against coughs and phlegm caused by lung inflammation and increased leucorrhea in women.
  3. Analgesic effect: [Experiment] Using the mouse shaking cage method, a mouse activity frame and lever were used, and a fast drum was activated to record mouse activity. Rose-Boot extract (400mg/kg) and saline (control group) were injected intraperitoneally. Results showed that the medicated group significantly inhibited mouse activity (p<0.001)。
  4. Anti-radiation effect: It significantly inhibits the production of LPO (lipid peroxide) in the heart and liver caused by radiation, protecting lipids and cell membranes.
  5. Anti-aging effect: It significantly increases the activity of SOD (superoxide dismutase) in the body, scavenges free radicals, and inhibits the generation of lipid peroxides.
  6. Bidirectional regulation of the endocrine system: It bidirectionally regulates the secretion of adrenal hormones and sex hormones.
Rose-Boot, as a newly discovered adaptogen-like tonic in recent years, has been extensively studied abroad. The Pharmacological Committee of the former Soviet Ministry of Health classified Rose-Boot as a Ginseng-type stimulant and an "adaptogen" drug, clinically used for anti-fatigue, enhancing physical and mental labor functions, neural Guanneng disorders, hypotonia syndrome, diabetes, and anemia.
