This product is the node of the rhizome of the lotus, a perennial aquatic plant of the Nymphaeaceae family. It is found in most regions of the country, mainly produced in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hunan, and Hubei. During autumn and winter, when digging up lotus rhizome nodes, the nodes are cut off, washed, and dried.
