bubble_chart Indications

  1. Used for measles that do not erupt. Tamarix has a pungent and dispersing nature, specializing in promoting eruption. It is mainly used for the initial stage of measles, where the exterior pathogen is constrained, and the measles toxin invades inward, causing the rash to not erupt smoothly. It is often combined with medicinals such as Great Burdock Achene, cicada slough, Bamboo Leaf, and other eruption-promoting herbs, as in the formula Bamboo Leaf and Tamarix Decoction. It can also be decocted and used for fumigation, washing, or rubbing.
  2. It is used to treat rubella and cutaneous pruritus. Tamarix can be decocted and used for bathing.
  3. It is used for wind-dampness arthralgia. Tamarix has the effect of dispelling wind and removing dampness. When combined with Notopterygium, Pubescent Angelica, and Gentian, it can also treat wind-dampness arthralgia.
