It is harvested during the summer and autumn when the flowers and leaves are lush, then washed and dried in the shade or used fresh. It grows in damp roadside areas, grasslands, hillsides, wall corners, riverbanks, and stream edges. It is distributed in Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Shaanxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Yunnan.
