This product is the dried capitulum with flower stem of the annual herbaceous plant Buerger Pipewort Flower (Eriocaulon buergerianum Koern.) from the Buerger Pipewort Flower family. It is mainly produced in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, and other provinces. Harvested in autumn, the capitulum along with the flower stem is pulled out, dried, and then cut into segments for use.
