Broad-leaved Nardostachys Root, a perennial herb, 15-30 cm tall. Rhizome short, base with persistent fine linear brown leaf base fibers. Leaves basal, leaf blades oblanceolate or long spoon-shaped, blunt at the apex, gradually narrowing below the middle into a petiole, entire, with 3 veins. Flowers in cymose capitate inflorescences; flower stems with 2 leaf-like bracts, lanceolate; flower stems with 2 rows of symmetrical white short hairs on both sides; corolla broadly tubular, light pink, apex light pink; sepals 5-toothed.
