Toad venom 6 gm (dried, dissolved in wine), dragon's blood 3 gm, frankincense 6 gm, myrrh 6 gm, realgar 9 gm, calomel 1.5 gm, chalcanthite 3 gm, musk 1.5 gm, verdigris 6 gm, gypsum 3 gm, cinnabar 6 gm, sea snails 21 pieces (i.e., snails, used with shells), centipede 1 piece (i.e., centipede, soaked in wine, roasted until yellow, head and feet removed), borneol 1.5 gm (can be omitted if unavailable).

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, then mash the sea sheep into a paste and combine with the previous ingredients. Form into pills the size of mung beans. If the pills do not hold together, use wine-boiled flour paste to form them. Take 2 pills each time, wrap them with 10 cm of crushed scallion, and take with wine. Cover with clothing and blankets, and after half an hour, drink several cups of hot wine to enhance the medicinal effect, until sweating occurs. If the illness is severe and no sweating occurs, take another 2 pills, and sweating will indicate effectiveness. For sores in the upper body, take after meals; for sores in the lower body, take before meals.

Boils and sores, back gangrene, nape gangrene, acute mastitis, bone-attaching carbuncle (suppurative osteomyelitis), all headless swellings and toxic sores, taking it will bring forth a head; for those without pain, taking it will induce pain; for those already formed, taking it will bring immediate healing.
