Water 1.6 liters (eight cups), decocted to 600 ml (three cups). First, use 200 ml (one cup) to mix with 30 ml (5 fen) of ginseng juice and two spoonfuls of ginger juice, administer immediately.
Tonifying qi, nourishing yin, purging heat, and promoting bowel movements.
Yangming warm disease, failure to purge when purging is indicated, depletion of both qi and fluids, severe constipation, abdominal distension and hardness, mental fatigue and qi deficiency, dry mouth and throat, chapped lips, scorched tongue, and scorched yellow or black dry cracked tongue coating.

In the formula, Rhubarb Rhizoma and Mirabilite drastically purge dryness-heat to preserve yin qi; Ginseng and Chinese Angelica tonify and replenish qi and blood; Ophiopogon Tuber, Unprocessed Rehmannia Root, Scrophularia Root, and sea cucumber enrich yin and nourish fluids; ginger juice, Chinese Date, and Liquorice Root protect stomach qi and harmonize the various herbs; Platycodon Root opens and ventilates lung qi, regulating the stomach and intestines. The entire formula combines purging heat and promoting bowel movements with replenishing qi and nourishing yin, allowing healthy qi to circulate and yin blood to be restored, thereby enabling the medicinal effects to take place, facilitating bowel movements, and naturally calming pathogenic heat.
