bubble_chart Preparation and Dosage
Crush the above 11 ingredients, including Sophora twigs, willow twigs, Qinpi, Scutellaria baicalensis, and talc, then decoct them with 600 ml of water until reduced to 400 ml. Remove the dregs. Separately, boil the remaining four ingredients—frankincense, Prinsepia uniflora, lead oxide, and Momordica cochinchinensis—with honey until they achieve an amber color. Combine this mixture with the previously prepared decoction and Coptis chinensis, then decoct until reduced to 250 ml. Filter through fine silk to remove dregs, seal in a porcelain container, and suspend it in a well overnight to eliminate fire toxins. Apply with a copper needle until the eyes feel astringent.
